I want to start by saying that I’ve been coming here for years and I loved my care team of Dr.Annette and Alyssa. They always made me feel apart of the care team and made the experience as great as possible. However, I went in for my dental cleaning and they let me know our claim from 2022 was denied. I was confused because insurance told us a couple days ago that this was fine and I was frustrated from getting different answers (insurance is notoriously difficult to deal with anyway). The receptionist Stephanie was trying to do her job and inform me and I totally get that but the office manager was called over to review as well. I found this out later as she did not bother to introduce herself to me. I was told to call my insurance and when I explained I didn’t know how to ask insurance about this because it’s not my job to file the claim, the manager informed me that ‘it is indeed my job’. I told her i didn’t even know where to start, I never got a claim and that only my husband ever got a bill with a total- never me. To which, the manager looks me in the eyes and says “we sent it to the head of your household”. Since the insurance is under my name and received through my work, this was the wrong thing to say to me. I asked why they assumed this was my husband and not me and the manager told me they had to make a guess and then continued to act very annoyed and told me to “be kind”. This manager did not give one single helpful suggestion and instead treated me like i had no right to be upset in anyway that I was getting two different stories and the amount is over $1K that should be covered. She kept interrupting my questions by yelling “be kind” at me in the lobby (complete with holding her hand up to me). Which is 100% a fair request and yes you should be kind but I sincerely believe I was allowed to be stressed about this and never once did I say something mean- I told her I was upset and she was being condescending to which the manager informed me, that no she was not. At this point I had to walk away from the manager so I spent the whole 50 minutes of my appointment in the lobby on the phone with insurance and missed my dental cleaning. I left this building crying because the manager yelled at me and didn’t let me even ask basic questions. Unfortunately my husband and I both adored the whole rest of the team and have two years of great experiences but we will not go back because if there is an insurance hiccup- the manager will berate you in the lobby until you cry and have you sit there through your appointment. Update 8/28/24- insurance issues were resolved and after some thought I decided I would go back to my medical team since Dr.Perkins responded saying they would like to resolve this. Only to be told that after the review I posted I was dismissed as a client. It seems that that was not an honest response or offer which is pretty disappointing but aligns with how the office manager acted.

Today's visit was great! I really enjoyed my new dentist. She was very helpful and friendly - and Jan, the hygienist, is very thorough and does a great job. How many people can say they enjoy getting their teeth cleaned?

The best dentists’ office I’ve ever been to. Both Dr. Perkins and Dr. Armine have incredible “bedside manners,” and the rest of the staff is top-notch. Warm and welcoming, clean and professional. I recommend New Image through word of mouth whenever the chance arises; love them!

Friendly staff and modern equipment makes the experience quick and easy. All of the staff at the front desk and behind the chair do amazing work and Dr. Perkins is great!
